Kimberly Lowe Obituary

Burlington - Kimberly Lowe, 43, of Burlington, Washington, passed away on September 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on September 9, 1982, in Mount Vernon, Washington, Kimberly was a radiant and compassionate soul whose presence brought warmth and joy to everyone she met. She spent her life in the Skagit Valley, where she built deep roots and lasting relationships.

Kimberly graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School with the Class of 2001. She worked for eight years at a local attorney's office in Mount Vernon, where she was admired for her dedication and professionalism. In 2011, she moved to Tacoma, Washington. While there Kimberly welcomed her greatest joy into the world-her beautiful daughter, Harlie Danielle Kay, born on May 23, 2017.

In 2019, Kimberly and Harlie returned to Burlington and resided with her mother, Dianne. Shortly after, Kimberly began a new chapter in her career at The Country Store in Burlington, where she became a Pet Categorist. She found deep fulfillment in helping customers care for their beloved pets, and her warmth and knowledge made her a favorite among the community's animal lovers.

Kimberly loved taking Harlie on little adventures-whether it was a trip to Winthrop, Blaine, or simply a cozy hotel suite where they could swim and watch movies together. She cherished her visits to Lime Kiln Park on Friday Harbor with her dad and found peace along the coast, especially at Deception Pass State Park. Her love for animals was matched only by her love for people. She could talk to anyone about anything, and there wasn't a person who walked away from a conversation with Kim still feeling like a stranger. Her smile and laughter had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and loved.

She is survived by her daughter, Harlie Danielle Kay; her mother, Dianne Lowe; her father, Bill Lowe; her sister, Erin Miller, brother-in-law Greg, and 4 nieces; her brother, Erik Lowe; her aunt, Carol Towne; and many beloved cousins. Kimberly's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the time they shared with her.

A celebration of Kimberly's life will be held on Saturday, Oct 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 324 Avon Avenue, Burlington, Washington. Food and fellowship will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lighthouse Mission in Bellingham or to the GoFundMe page established to help Dianne support and care for Harlie.
