Margaret Bridge Obituary

Sedro-Woolley - Our wonderful mother, Margaret Bridge Peck, was born Nov. 28, 1942 to Mervyn and Bernadine Bridge. She joined siblings Keith, Gloria, and Verna. She died peacefully at her daughter Whitney's home surrounded by Stacey, Whitney, Lisa and her cats on Nov. 9, 2023 after 9 weeks on hospice.

She suffered a severe bout of Rheumatic fever as a child that caused lifelong health problems. She attended Sedro-Woolley schools. As an adult, she owned a beauty salon in Sedro- Woolley, helped her husband run river rafting trips, owned a senior travel business with her sister, and was a caregiver to her mom and many others. She was well known for her fabulous cooking including cream cheese brownies, chicken enchiladas, and pies. She was everyone's favorite mom, aunty, cousin, friend, grandma and great grandma.

She enjoyed many hobbies-- growing prize winning rose bushes and orchids, breeding Siamese cats, knitting sweaters, and making native Indian art and instruments and learning more about her tribe with her sister, Verna. One highlight of her life was getting to travel several times to Hayward, Wisconsin to attend the tribal Powwow of her tribe, the Lac Court Oreilles, and meet many extended cousins.

Mom was a voracious reader! She was funny (sometimes unintentionally) with a very dry sense of humor. She is survived by her daughters, Stacey Neble (Mike Matsunami) from Seattle and Whitney Button (Lisa) in Vancouver, WA, her sister Verna Pederson (Robert), grandchildren-Claire, Todd (Laura), Dana, Jeremy (Brenda), Katelynn (Miguel), Kristie, Trevor (Dalyla), James, and great grandchildren-Tony, Oakley, Isaiah, Keeleon, Rexlynn, Andrew, Endsley and Hendrix (with 2 more babies on the way). She is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceeded in death by 2 sons-Steve Neble(1989) and Tony Cantrell (2001). Losing her sons so young was a terrible tragedy for our family.

A Memorial Tea Party will be held at the Sedro-Woolley Community Center on Saturday, Nov. 25 from 2-5. Come prepared to tell a sweet story about mom.
