MARY BONACCI Obituary
Mary graduated from Fairfax High School in 1950. A government job took her to Washington D.C. where she worked at the Navy Annex for 11 years. It was there that she met Tony Bonacci on a blind date. They married in 1957 and had a son, Michael, in December that same year.
Tony and Mary moved to Mount Vernon in 2003 to becloser to their son, and both began volunteering at Skagit Valley Hospital.
Mary handled the news of her cancer diagnosis with dignity and grace. She was grateful to have moved to Skagit Valley and made so many wonderful friends through volunteering at the hospital.
Services will be held at the Skagit Valley Hospital chapel on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon reception for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to either the Regional Cancer Care Center or Skagit Hospice Foundation.
