They married in 1949 and made their first home in Leavenworth where Tom and Kay were born. Next stop Quincy where Diane was born and then to Tacoma where Steve was born. They settled in Lynnwood in 1961 where they found lifelong friends in the St. Thomas Moore community.

Mary retired from the Snohomish County Auditor's office in 1989, and she and Larry moved to Lake Cavanaugh. They then moved to Mt. Vernon where they joined the Immaculate Conception parish. Mary volunteered for many projects including the Maternity Lending Center which she was involved with for 20 years. Mary moved to Mt. Glen Retirement Community in 2012.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Larry in 1999; her oldest son Tom in 2003; her sister Barbara in 1957 and brother Bob in 2024. Wonderful lady who did so much for so many. I knew Mary and Larry when we lived in same neighborhood in Lynnwood. Her husband Larry then worked for State Patrol and my Dad was Chief. As we all moved to different areas, we loss contact. I now live in Stanwood and hope some day I will cross paths with some of her children.

Oh Kay, I so remember your mother visiting the preschool so many years ago. She was a spry and cheerful presence. Much like you. Hugs and sweet memories, Becky

Dear Kay and Diane,
It was with much sadness learning of your mother“s passing. Such a special person she was! Her warmth and energy always shining through. We will keep both of you, and all who were lucky enough to know her, in our thoughts.

Mary was a friend at Mt. Glen Retirement Center. She was a delightful lady and she was sincerely interested in her friends there. I'm thankful that she knew the Lord Jesus Christ, and will be with Him for eternity. He is our blessed hope.

God surely blessed Mrs. Mary greatly with an abundance of years and family. May God's grace be a comfort to saddened hearts and may Romans 10:9-13 be good direction for you. Very sorry.
