Paul Elvebak Obituary

Anacortes - Paul L Elvebak was born May 25th, 1944 to Norman and Dorothy Elvebak of Campbell Lake, Anacortes. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Vivian (Elvebak) Nute. Paul leaves two daughters, Leslie (Elvebak) Symonds (husband Scott Symonds) and Trisha (Webster) Roberts (husband Dave Roberts), two grandchildren, Jaxon & Revy Roberts. In addition, Paul leaves two sisters, Nancy Elvebak and Ella (Elvebak) Lunz, two nieces, Maggie Louden (with great nieces and nephews: Brandon, Jordan & Tatsyiana Louden, Guy Washington Jr and Miracle Walton) and Tara Hammer (husband Jeff Hammer).

Paul loved his daughters and his family, and he loved to help people. As a talented mechanic, he was known in the community for going the extra mile for those who came to him for help. There were many occasions that he would have someone come to get their car repaired, and he would offer to not just drive them home, but also swing by Safeway so they could get groceries in case they might be homebound while he repaired their vehicle. Our hope is that this version of him is what he is most remembered for. Paul retired from WesPaul's in Anacortes in 2002.

Paul loved Campbell Lake. He loved being on the hillside where his Grandfather and Grandmother raised his Mother, Dorothy. Paul spent most of his time on that hill in the home they built. He loved having a fire on his hill and watching the water, and the birds, and any and all critters. For his 70th birthday he cut two and a half cord of wood and though his body was mad at him, he was so proud of the accomplishment. He was generous to a fault and would help whoever asked.
