Phyllis E. Hale

1929 - 2025

Bellingham - Phyllis Edwina (Lindquist) Hale passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, at the age of 96 in Bellingham, Washington, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 28, 1929, in Los Angeles, California, to Edwin and Jessie (Paquette) Lindquist.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, C. Price Hale, Jr., who passed away in 2013. She is survived by her loving family, including her devoted daughters, Sharon Hale Mooney, Vicki Wichers (Gary), and Trudi Briede (A.E.); cherished grandchildren, Dennis Mooney, Shane Wichers, Lindsay (Wichers) Stanek, and Albert Briede; and five adored great-grandchildren.

Phyllis spent most of her life in the Skagit Valley area, with several years in Louisiana and Texas, before returning to the Pacific Northwest in her later years. She enjoyed an active retirement filled with golf, bridge, gardening, travel, and time spent with friends and family. She was especially fond of her longtime feline companion, Henry - affectionately known as her "itty bitty buddy."

Phyllis was laid to rest at Mount Vernon Cemetery on October 31, 2025. Memorial contributions may be made to the Whatcom Hospice Foundation at whatcomhospice.org.
