Ronald Aldridge Obituary

Clear Lake - Ronald "Ronnie" R. Aldridge, 82, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 8, 2025, at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, Washington.

Ronnie was born on December 7, 1942, in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, to Maude (Johnson) and Clay Aldridge. Ronnie met Larki (Janet Parker) in high school and were married in January of 1962, and started their family shortly after, raising three boys. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved spending time with his family, especially at the annual family reunions, which were among his favorite traditions.

He was an avid outdoorsman and passionate hunter spending countless seasons tracking cougar in the Cascade Mountains with his snowshoes, trusted hound and .22 rifle. He also enjoyed elk and bear hunting with his many hunting buddies. When not in the mountains, you'd often find Ronnie fishing from his riverboat on the Skagit River.

Ronnie had a deep love for vintage cars and trucks and was a regular at local car shows. He also loved riding his Harley and living life on the open road. Known for his hardworking spirit, Ronnie spent many years as a heavy equipment operator a job he truly enjoyed.

Ronnie is survived by his sons and their families:

Robbie (Paige) Aldridge; granddaughters, Brandi Moore, Ashley and Alecia Aldridge; great grandkids, Trinity, Addie, Hadley, River, Rose and Rebel;

Lincoln (Heidi) Aldridge: grandson, Lincoln Waylon; granddaughter, Kylie Dodd; great grandkids, Vaeyda & Lawson Dodd and Taryn (Gabe) Fraboni;

Chad Aldridge (Carrie Weyand); grandsons, Gavin & Cayden Aldridge and Maddy & Ellie Weyand;

brother, Randy (Ava) Aldridge.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Maude and Clay; brother, Richie; sister, Sheri.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Ronnie's home, 23777 Old Day Creek Road, in Clear Lake on July 26, 2025 at 3:00pm. Feel free to drive your classic car to the memorial. Share your memories of Ronnie and sign the online guest register at www.lemleychapel.com.
