Joy passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on November 6, 2013 in Sedro-Woolley.

Born to Ed and Ruby Freeman on April 14, 1932. in Waco, Texas.

She married Kenneth Cave and raised 5 children. Family was very important to her and she made sure all around her were well fed and taken care of. She often played the role of Mom to her many nieces and nephews, or any kid who needed a hug. She will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Wanda, Cecil, Doris and brother Dale.

She is survived by her children: Mary and Larry TenBrink, Darla and Jim Schmidt, Jane and Tom Selin, Ken and Jennifer Cave, and Wayne and Becky Cave, fifteen grand children, twenty eight grandchildren and two great-great-granddaughters.

Inurnment will take place at 1 pm on January 17 at Union Cemetery, Sedro-Woolley with a potluck Celebration of Life to follow at Sedro-Woolley Community Center.
