TIMOTHY SAXTON Obituary

Timothy Sean Saxton, age 38, of Anacortes, died on Tuesday, February 25, 2010 in Anacortes.

He was born in Edmonds, WA. Tim attended Anacortes High School along with the Class of 1989.

Tim led by example as a devoted father, and was known by many for his infectious smile, humor, warmth and willingness to assist others. Through a deep love of music he touched many. Tim sang and played guitar and mandolin in a number of musical groups, including Gertrude's Hearse, Finney Creek, and most recently Tall Timber Grass. His music will live on through the song "McKenzie's Ride", which was recorded for his daughter.

Tim enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, notably while fishing and trap-shooting. He was most recently employed in the parts department at Barnett Implement in Mount Vernon, where he was respected for his hard work and camaraderie.

He was an active member of the local Eagles Lodge and Moose Lodge.

He died in Anacortes, where he lived with his daughter McKenzie and significant-other Erin Littlefield.

Tim is survived by his mother, Agnes Gilmore; father and step-mother, Harold and Andrea Saxton; daughter, McKenzie Saxton; half-siblings, Perry Grimsley, Angela Campos, Adelina Alvarado, and Evan Saxton; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life, potluck and memorial concert with his group, Tall Timber Grass, will be held starting at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Bay View-Padilla Civic Hall, 12615 C St., in Bay View, WA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a trust account for McKenzie Saxton at any People's Bank branch location.

Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., Anacortes, WA and the San Juan Islands. To share memories of Tim, please sign the online guest register at www.evanschapel.com.
