I did not know that Bud (Buddy to me and my brothers) had passed and I am just so sad, for me, my brothers and for his cherished "Jan" and his family. When I was a little girl and into my teens, Bud was my Big Brother and Marion and Walter were "Aunt Marion" and Uncle Walter"--they all spoiled us kids rotten. I absolutely thought Bud walked on water. He was the "kid brother" to my Mother and Dad and, as we all lived across the street from each other, he spent countless hours at our house. He babysat me, hauled me around town with him, teased me to tears but always loved me and I, him. Even though, as years passed we would be 'in and out' of touch, to this day he has a very special place in my heart. I never stopped loving him as my "Big Brother" and knowing he is gone....well, there is some comfort in knowing he is with my Mom and Dad, laughing it up and pulling his silly stunts. My Love to you Bud and my heartfelt condolences to Jan.

Words seem empty when I try to describe how much Bud meant to me. He was an amazing person, and I loved him very much... I'm going to miss him so much~!

Bud was a cheerful, wonderful, and loving person. I haven't seen him for a long time, but would never forget him or his charm. He also had a loyal and giving heart and took my mom under his wing and was a great neighbor to my mom and dad. I know that Jeane will continue on his legacy for being thoughtful and kind to others. Hugs to you all, and to Jan - God bless you.

Bud was one of my favorite people. Joe and I enjoyed our many golf games with him and he always made us laugh with one of his great stories. Good times! I'll miss you, Bud.

As I was writing about my Dad's life this week, I realized how intertwined are the lives of the Voegtlins and Ebelings. Dad died Nov. 5, too. I know he and Bud journeyed together. My sympathy.

Bud was one of the first people I met when I started teaching at Immaculate Conception School in the 80's. His support for teachers and education will never be forgotten. I send my thoughts and prayers to all of the Ebeling family! God Bless You!

Bud will be missed by me and all our friends. Bud would stay with me and my parents at the farm at times. My parents enjoyed Bud and he would work with my dad in and around the barn, they enjoyed being together. Bud always had my mom laughing. Bud and I totaled that red convertable in the fall of 52. As I look back on our time together I could write a small book. For now I'll just say God Bless.

I remember one night in the fall of 1951 when Bud came to Burlington in his beautiful candy apple red 1951 ford convertible and we drag raced down Burlington Blvd. I say I won Bud always said he won.

Bud was the sweetest man ever. He took time to stop by and check on me after my husband passed away. He would always say "If you need anything call me!" He was adorable and a wonderful friend. He will be missed.
