JAN SCHILLING 10/16/1966 - 12/03/2025 Jan Marie Schilling, 59, of Sleepy Eye died peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, after years of struggling with health issues that stemmed from cancer early on in her life. She endured these struggles with grace, dignity, and unwavering strength. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 4 until 7 p.m. at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye with a Prayer Service at 3:45 p.m. prior to the visitation. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church-North Entrance in Sleepy Eye. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The clergy will be Fr. Nathan Hansen. Interment will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Jan Marie Schilling, the daughter of Marvin and Eileen (Hillesheim) Kral, was born on October 16, 1966, in New Ulm. She attended and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School in 1986. After high school, Jan worked at BIC until her health prohibited her from doing so. Jan married her high school sweetheart, Randy Schilling on April 16, 1988, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. Though they had no children of their own, she was a mother to their pets, Turbo, Shelby, Bailey, Rylie, and Sadie Ray, a beloved aunt, devoted sister, and cherished friend who will be greatly missed. Jan enjoyed hanging out with her cherished friends and family, camping, cooking, and canning. Jan is survived by her husband of 37 years, Randy Schilling; mother, Eileen Kral; brothers, Dale Kral, Leon (Renee) Kral, and Gregg Kral; sisters-in-law, Kelly (Tom) Gutknecht and Lauri Nelson; nieces and nephews, Nathan, Brandon, Melissa, Peyton, Dalton, Bryan, Brent, and Brittany; uncle, Ray Jr. (Susie) Kral; aunts, Janet Kral and JoAnn Hillesheim; and many other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Kral; parents-in-law, Ray and Brunilla Schilling; and aunt and uncles, Phyllis and Frederick Juni, Linus Kral, and Curt Hillesheim.
