Earl Whiting Obituary
Earl E. Whiting died Feb. 19, 2017, in Ocala, Fla.
Born April 2, 1926 in South Bend, Ind., he was a member of Ocala West United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher and in the Men's Fellowship.
He retired from Bendix where he worked on the Apollo Project after 35 years of service in the Aerospace Industry. Then, he went on to work at Cincinnati Electronics.
He married Dorothy J. Gardner in South Bend, Ind., in 1949.
He is survived by his daughter Karen (Roland) King of Ocala; brother, Harold
(Betty) Whiting of South Bend, Ind.; and a sister-in-law, Norma Gardener.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017, at the Ocala West United Methodist Church.
Private inurnment will be held at Florida National Cemetery with his late wife, Dorothy. Family recommends memorials be sent to the American Heart Association. Arrangements entrusted with Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services - Timber Ridge. Sentiments may be left online at www.hiers-baxley.com.
