Martha Ann Mirabella

Martha Ann Mirabella, late of Millbrae, San Mateo County for 64 years.  Entered into rest in Burlingame on December 3, 2024.

Martha was the beloved wife of the late Frank Mirabella, married for 49 years; daughter of the late John and Leonarda Concerti and daughter-in-law of the late Frank and Alba Mirabella; sister of the late Angela (August) Bacchi and Frank Concerti; mother to Diane Pessagno and Frank Mirabella; grandmother to Michael and Stephen Pessagno and Frank Mirabella; aunt to Larry (Korie) Bacchi, Jeanene Bacchi, and Gina (Jason) Swarr; great aunt to Austin and John Bacchi, Bella Swarr, and Nicholas Mokhtarzadeh.

Martha was loved by all and was considered by many to be the nicest person they knew.  She was nonjudgmental and always saw the good in people.  She dedicated her life to volunteering in San Mateo County.  She taught illiterate adults how to read.  She tutored those who were trying to pass the test to become US citizens. She was an ombudsman, visiting long-term care facilities to ensure that the residents were safe and well cared for.  She was on the civil grand jury.  She was a paralegal student at Canada College as she wanted to spend her remaining years doing pro bono work in immigration and criminal law and was interning for an immigration attorney.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, December 15 after 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Highlands, 194 Millwood Drive, Millbrae, with a vigil service at 6:00 p.m.  A funeral mass will be celebrated on December 16 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dunstan Church, 1133 Broadway, Millbrae.  A reception will immediately follow at Crystal Springs Golf Course, 6650 Golf Course Drive, Burlingame.
