Cecelia G. "Cele" Krise

1937 - 2023

Cecelia G. "Cele" Krise, 85, of Kersey, died peacefully at the DuBois Nursing Home on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
She was born on November 2, 1937, in Kersey, a daughter of the late Francis and Helen Dietz Gahr.
In January 1959, she married Joe Krise, who preceded her in death on December 5, 1988.
Cele was a graduate of Kersey High School Class of 1956 and a member at St. Boniface Church. She worked many years at Stackpole and later retired from Rebco. Cele was a member of Horton Twp Lions Club and Dagus Mines Legion. She loved playing bingo and cards.
Cele is survived by a daughter, Ruth Gagliardi and her husband Terry of Kersey, a son, Joe Krise Jr. of Kersey, four grandchildren: Randon Krise of Kersey, Angelia Green and her husband Kyle of St. Marys, Tricia Krise of Kersey, and Kevin Gagliardi and his wife Tylie of Byrnedale, and two great grandchildren, Colton and Audia. She is also survived by three sisters: Helen (Marvin) Riddle of St. Marys, Rosemary (Ernest) Mattiuz of Kersey, Penny Thomas of KY, and one brother, Raymond (Diane) Gahr of St. Marys.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Amos Krise, and 2 brothers in infancy.
A Memorial Mass for Cecelia G. Krise will be celebrated on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Church, 355 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846, with Fr. Kevin Holland, Pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.
