Chad R. Woodward

1979 - 2022

Chad R. Woodward, 43, of Brusselles Street, St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. 
He was born on February 16, 1979, in St. Marys, a son of Raymond and Kimberly Mecca Woodward, who survive.
On May 11, 2001, he married Tammy Gunter, who survives. Together they shared more than 21 years of love and marriage.
For the past few years Chad worked for the Elk Country Alliance as the Head of Habitat, a job which he greatly enjoyed and made many friends.  Chad also enjoyed camping and hunting, and he loved spending time at the Hummingbird Speedway. For many years he was the crew chief for Bob McMillen Racing. Most of all, he was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. 
In addition to his wife of 21 years; Tammy Gunter Woodward, he is survived by three children; Robert Woodward at home, Rachel (Justin) Stubber of Maryland, and Eric (Shannon) Holterback of Ohio, and by 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother; Brian (Nikki) Woodward of St. Marys, by three nieces; Kari Armstrong and Scarlett and Teyla Woodward, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sons; Brian Holterback and Craig Holterback, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and by an uncle; Russ O'Dell. 
A Mass of Christian Burial for Chad R. Woodward will be celebrated at on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, Pa 15857 with Fr. Jeffrey Noble officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received at the Queen of the World Church on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
