Frances E. Dellaquila

Frances E. Dellaquila, 86, of Fairport, NY, and formerly of Johnsonburg, passed away late Sunday night, September 21, 2025, following a brief illness. She was born October 9, 1938, in Johnsonburg, a daughter to the late Francis and Eileen Geer Crowe. She married Thomas B. Dellaquila in Johnsonburg, and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2023.
Fran was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School and Clarion State College. She was an elementary school teacher for many years in both Pennsylvania and New York State where she connected with children leaving a lasting impression on their lives. She was known as "Aunt Fran" to all. She loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays, she loved her dogs, gardening and going on vacations (particularly Ireland).
Frances is survived by her daughter Julie, sisters Lauren and Mary Rae, brother John, brother-in-law Pasquale Dellaquila (Jackie) and sister-in-law Ann Dellaquila, as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. In addition, many lifelong friends including Samantha and Jake Crane, who were considered family, also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband Thomas, Frances is predeceased by her and Tom's family members Frank Richards, Brenda Crowe, Joseph and Erma Dellaquila, Mary and John Viglione, Stephen and Marie Dellaquila, Grace and Chester Viola, John Dellaquila and Roseann and Anthony LaFay.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Frances E. Dellaquila will be conducted at St. John of Rochester Church, 8 Wickford Way, Fairport, NY on Saturday September 27 at 1:30 PM.
Visitation will be held at Harloff Funeral Home, 803 S. Washington St., East Rochester, NY on Thursday September 25, from 4 to 7 PM.
Interment will take place on Wednesday October 1, 2025, in Holy Rosary Cemetery at 1:30 PM with family and friends encouraged to attend.
Local arrangements are under direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, PA.
