Lois Lion Piccirillo, 72, of Ashburn, VA passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and generousity touched everyone who knew her.
Born in Saint Marys, PA, Lois carried a warm heart and an adventurous spirit. She loved traveling, especially to the Caribbean, Disney World, and Deep Creek Lake. Many of her happiest moments were spent on family vacations, where she wove traditions, inspired laughter, and created a lifetime of cherished memories.
Lois and her husband, Vince, recently celebrated 50 years of marriage, a milestone that reflected their deep love and unwavering dedication to one another. They were not only partners in life but also in business, working side-by-side to build and operate a successful toxicology consulting company.
Of all the roles Lois held, being "Mema" was her greatest joy. Her four grandchildren were the center of her world. She selflessly provided daily care for each of them through their critical first year, giving them a foundation of comfort and unconditional love.
She was their biggest cheerleader at sporting events, a patient teacher of countless life lessons, and a source of endless, comforting hugs.
Lois leaves behind her beloved husband, their son Mike Piccirillo and daughter Amanda (Doug) Kelley, four grandchildren - Hailey, Tyler, Chase and Brooks, six brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Irene Lion, as well as her brother Steve Lion, sister Ruthie McConnell, and nephew Matt Minnick.
Her legacy is one of love, generosity, and the many cherished memories she created with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
A celebration of Lois's life will be held on December 14, 2025, from 1:00–5:00 pm at The Red Fern in Kersey, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor her memory by planting a memorial tree through A Living Tribute:
