Marcia L. Runyan

1972 - 2021

Marcia L. Runyan, 49, of 539 Townview Road, St. Marys, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021, at
the home of her mother, after a brief illness.
She was born July 3, 1972, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Clyde T. "Spike" Walters, who passed away
January 8, 2020, and Mary Jo Klein Walters, who survives of St. Marys. Marcy was a lifelong resident of
the area and was a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, Class of 1990. She was an employee of
Pro Clean and T M Associates.
In addition to her mother, Mary Jo Walters, Marcy is survived by her daughters: Heather Fantaske and
her husband John of Dagus Mines and Katlyn Rider and her husband Tom of Port Matilda; five
grandchildren: Kody Price, Liliana Price, Nico Fantaske, Noralea Fantaske, and Amaya Fantaske; her
brother, Richard Mertz and his wife Joni of Grant, PA; her paternal grandmother, Delores Mertz of St.
Marys; her fiancé, Roland Lavigne of Ontario, Canada; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and by her
beloved cat, Moe.
Besides her father, Marcy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Emeron and Rose Klein;
and by her paternal grandfather, Richard Mertz.
Marcy loved camping, especially at Black Bear Campground. She especially loved to be with her family
and cherished every moment with her grandchildren.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral services will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
