Marlene Klaiber Obituary

Marlene W. Klaiber, 75, of 1205 Brusselles Street, St. Marys, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Pinecrest Manor after a brief illness.
She was born November 5, 1946, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Wilfred and Katherine Fritz Weichman. Marlene was a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, Class of 1964. She was a tremendous cook and many enjoyed her cooking and her company where she was chef and manager at various local restaurants in the area.
On August 3, 1984, in the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marlene married the late Charles D. "Chuck" Klaiber, who preceded her in death on August 16, 2013.
She is survived by her children: Kenneth E. Schneider (Edith Martin) of Ridgway, Lynette J. Schneider (Zee Mustafaa) of Columbus, Ohio, Tammy Dennison (Troy) of Alexandria, Virginia, and Tracey Thompson (Eric) of Kersey; by 10 grandchildren: Travis, Diana, Stacey, Danielle, Simone, Alyse, Troy Jr., Anjelika, Savannah, and Sarah; and by her five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marlene was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashley Riemer.
Marlene was a devout Catholic and member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church. Faith and family were most important to her and always welcomed a house full of people. She loved to be outdoors camping or surrounded by family and friends around a backyard fire. A hobby she picked up later in life was bird watching out her kitchen window. She enjoyed her time spent with family and friends especially when they were together playing Bingo, games during family gatherings or gambling at the casino. She will be missed.
Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2022.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the St. Mary's Catholic Church on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to Penn Highlands Community Nurses, 757 Johnsonburg Road, Suite 200, St. Marys, PA 15857 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.

Too many memories with my mom ....I remember taking a ride a couple years ago just her and me to Spragues in NY. The scenery was beautiful but the time spent getting to know my mom even better was so precious. Oh and staying up until to 2 or 3 in the morning watching movies. The best memory was meeting your great granddaughters for the first time in person. I have your love so deeply locked away in my heart!!

I can't say I really stayed in touch with Marlene but every memory of her is very positive. Last time I talked to her she remembered my Father helping her pay for her class ring. She was still smiling about it.

I was very close to Aunt Marlene growing up. She was the absolute best and taught me so many things from crocheting to writing poetry. Gratefully, I was able to reconnect with her within the last few years. I love her very much and I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers go out to my cousins and their families.
