Mary Wickett Obituary
She was born Dec. 10, 1923 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Joseph and Marian Weidenboerner Breindel. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1941. Mary Jane was a former employee of the Speer Carbon Company and was a member of the St. Mary's Church.
On Oct. 7, 1947 in the St. Mary's Church, Mary Jane married Clarence J. Wickett, who survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Jane Wickett of Cary, North Carolina and Joan Fabiano and her husband Donald of Ridgway; two sons, James Wickett and his wife Lucy of Belleville, Illinois and John Wickett of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and by numerous wonderful nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerome and Paul Breindel. She was the last member of her immediate family.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Jane Wickett will be celebrated in the St. Mary's Church on Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the St. Mary's Church, 325 Church St., St. Marys, Pa. 15857 or to the Elk County Catholic High School, Advancement Office, 600 Maurus St., St. Marys, Pa. 15857.
