Robert E. "Bob" Neil

1947 - 2025

Robert E. "Bob" Neil, 78, of Brockport, passed away at his home on Monday, November 18, 2025, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on March 1, 1947, in DuBois, PA, a son of the late Herbert and June Lockwood Neil.
On February 25, 1984, in St. Marys, he married Teri M. Meyer, with whom he shared a beautiful life for more than 41 years.
Bob graduated from Brookville High School, class of 1965 and later went on to earn his Act 120 certification and served his community as a police officer in St. Marys. He will be remembered as the owner of the 3 Sons Tavern and for founding Neil's Family Restaurant and Meat Market in Hazen. Later in life, he enjoyed a career as a food sales representative with W.S. Lee and Sysco, forging lasting relationships throughout the industry.
An avid motorcyclist, Bob had a deep love for his Harley, finding joy on special rides he shared with Terry and his grandchildren. His time spent at camp and on family hunting trips earned him the affectionate nickname "Papa Bear". Bob was one of the founders of the Allen's Mills Hunting Association, an organization that forged deep bonds among family and friends through a shared love of hunting and nature.
Bob served in the U.S Army Reserves, exemplifying dedication and commitment to his country. His involvement in the community extended far beyond his military service; he was a member of the St. Marys Legion, the Fox Township Firemen's Club, and the Brookville Eagles. Robert's passion for motorcycles led him to serve as the president of the Tricounty Harley Owners Group, where he fostered camaraderie and friendship among fellow enthusiasts.
In addition to his wife Teri, he is survived by one daughter; Angie Walter and her husband Dan of St. Marys, six grandchildren: Madelyn, Cole, and Jack Neil, Jake (Anna), Jayce, and Jayna Walter, and by a daughter-in-law; Kerrie Neil of St. Marys. He is also survived by a brother; Steve Neil of Brookville, as well as by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scott Neil.
A Funeral Service for Robert E. Neil will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Lynch Grenn Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael Street, St. Marys, PA, 15857.
Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 21, 2025 at the Lynch Green Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Penn Highlands Hospice or to Elk County Humane Society.
