Gladys and Herb were my uncle and aunt. My grandma Edna Smisor was Herb's sister. Aunt Gladys came to visit us many times in Sterling when I was a boy. Please let us know when you will be in Sterling for the burial and Julane Smisor Ediger, your aunt, and I will meet you at the cemetery and then you'll have to come over to my house in Sterling. I didn't know how to contact you. FYI I am an accomplished organist and have used the Bastien series for years to teach piano.

Jane played a significant part in the lives of our grandchildren,Evan and Kelly. We are forever grateful for her excellent teaching, her love for music and for the students she taught.
"May tender memories soften your grief, May fond recollection bring you relief, And may you find comfort and peace in the thought of the joy that knowing your mother brought... For time and space can never divide or keep your loved one from your side. When memory paints in colors true, the happy hours that belonged to you."Helen Stainer Rice
May God be with you during this time of grieving.

Jane grew up in Hutchinson, KS next door to my late husband, Larry Giffin. They were fast friends until they grew up. I knew Jane also, after I moved to Hutchinson in 1955. She was a really great girl and so very talented. We stayed in contact with each other through the years. I was sad to hear that she had passed away. Jane's mother and my mother-in-law were good friends until they died. So many good memories about Jane and her Mom. Jane's mother also taught piano from her home for many many years. Hundreds of children were taught by Jane's mother. Jane will be missed.
