Hazel Shepard Obituary
Hazel proudly served in the US Navy for approximately 2 years, a period during which she embraced the camaraderie and challenges of nursing. Her commitment to service extended beyond her time in the Navy, as evidenced by her active participation in community volunteering which granted her multiple prestigious awards. Her final act of service was to donate her body to US Navy medical students for study.
She is survived by her three children and their families, as well as her five of 12 siblings. Hazel's legacy of love, service, and community engagement will be honored when she is inurned at Arlington National Cemetery in the spring of 2027.
