John Fox Obituary
He was born January 31, 1947, Loudoun County, Virginia, to the late Maurice R. Fox and Mary F. Delp Fox.
John met the love if his life, Shirley, in August of 1965. They were married in 1966 and just celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on October 18, 2024. John and Shirley have 2 children, Michael and Angela.
John was a kind man who made friends everywhere he went. His favorite pastimes were fishing, playing cornhole, and working on cars. He had a love of old cars and hot rods. He was most passionate about his family and his little dog Bella.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald Fox, Donald Fox, and Carlin M. Fox, Sr.
John is survived by his loving wife, Shirley L. Fox, children Michael Fox, Sr. (Wife Becky) and Angela Fox; grandchildren Michael Fox, Jr. (wife Olivia) and Jessica Bowie (husband Joey); step-granddaughters Lindsey and Allison Williams; great-granddaughters Kendall and Ellie Bowie; and his dear brother Russell Fox (wife Barbara). John has numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, but shared a special bond with his nephew Carlin M. Fox, Jr.
Family and friends will be received on Monday October 28th from 4PM-8PM at Raymond Funeral Services, P.A. in La Plata Maryland, with prayers at 7PM. Funeral services will be held at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. on Tuesday October 29th at 10AM followed by Interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, Maryland. Afterwards family and friends will gather for a celebration of life at Mechanicsville Moose Lodge, 27636 Mechanicsville Road, Mechanicsville, Maryland.
Pallbearers are Carlin M. Fox, Jr., Gary Phipps, Jr., Richard Fox, Jr., and Michael Gomes.
Honorary Pallbearers are Buck Harris and Nate Bates.
