Michael Kubick Obituary
Born on March 29, 1949 in Bethesda, MD, he was the son of the late Frank Chester Kubick and Margaret Marie Kubick. Michael worked as a Propellant Mechanic at the Naval Surface Weapons Station in Indian Head for many years before retiring. He enjoyed listening to music, watching baseball, and working on crossword puzzles. Michael attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pomfret and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Maurice J. McDonough Council, number 12128. He also served local baseball clubs as a score keeper.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Marcia Elizabeth Kubick; sister Marie "Anne" Townes.
Michael is survived by his brother Frank P. Kubick and his wife Holly; nieces Susan Townes Cox and Nicole Kubick Kelly; nephews Mark Townes, David Townes, Philip Townes Jr., Curtis Kubick; great niece Jessica Cox, and Peyton Townes ; great nephews Tyler Cox, Garrett Kelly, and Parker Kelly.
A gathering will be held on Wednesday October 22,2025 from 9:30am to 10:30 am at St Joseph's Catholic Church parish Center, 4590 St. Joseph Way, Pomfret, Maryland 20675 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph Way, Pomfret, Maryland 20675. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael's name to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph Way, Pomfret, MD 20675
