Richard Gentry Obituary
1943 - 2022
Richard Dale Gentry passed away peacefully at his home on April 29, 2022, with his family by his side. He was 79. Born in 1943 to John and Ida Gentry, Rich spent his early childhood in Fallon, NV before moving to Sonoma County. Growing up, he attended church and most recently attended Stony Point Christian Fellowship. For his career, Rich was a masonry contractor and estimator. He worked on a vast assortment of commercial projects.
Rich had a love for outdoor activities. He enjoyed boating, fishing, his cattle ranch and snowmobiling. He also loved to travel. Some of his favorite trips were to Italy and Disneyland, where he would often be seen carrying around his grandchildren on his shoulders. Most importantly, Rich loved his family. He was kind, generous, determined, resourceful and loving. He has repeatedly been described as "The Strongest Man Known".
Rich is survived by his loving wife Kathy Gentry, children; Todd, Angela, Jeff and John Gentry, as well as 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
