Lucile Marie Marinko passed away on July 29th, 2021, just a few days shy of her 94th Birthday. Born in Collinsville Illinois, Lucille lived a happy childhood, where - as a young Basketball cheerleader, she caught the eye of a budding young musician named Wallace Marinko. They were married in 1950 and moved to California in 1954, where Wally became a well-loved local musician, and started his own business - Cal Realty/Cal Mortgage. They lived in many homes throughout San Francisco and Marin, and they finally settled into Creekside Village in the early 2000s. Wally passed in 2004 and Lucille remained there where she met and made many lifelong friends.

In addition to raising their two children, Lucille worked in several banking institutions, and ultimately spent 10 years working at St. Francis Hospital in San Francisco, before retiring.

Lucille was very active in her beloved Table Tennis club, where she was quite competitive, and could deliver a mean smash shot. In addition, she was very active in Bocce Ball and Bridge, and also played cards twice a week with her two good friends who became a 'Pod' throughout the pandemic. Lucille was an avid Jazz aficionado, and was a member of the Sonoma Jazz Society - where pre-pandemic, she went out often to see great local Jazz in Sonoma, and around the Bay Area.

Lucille is predeceased by her husband Wally, and her son Karl, and survived by her daughter Vicki, who was by her side when she peacefully passed.

Spry, sharp as a tack, extraordinary, generous, caring, strong, independent, a loving loyal friend wife and mother - these are some of the attributes that describe Lucille.

Lucille was a beautiful vibrant soul - a 'force of nature' - who will always be loved and cherished by all who knew her. A big Thank You to By The Bay Hospice for all that they contributed to Lucille's well-being in her final days.
