Steven M. BECKWITH

BECKWITH, Steven M. Passed away after a long, diligent fight with illness in Sonoma, CA, on November 4, 2016. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Laura Beckwith, and his children, Dustin, Daniel (Hennessey), Ian and Allyson. He is also survived by his four brothers, Wally, Tim, Peter (Laura) and John (Kat). He was a loving uncle to numerous nieces and nephews as well as a caring grandfather to Blake, Mya and Eleanor. Steven was a proud veteran and served in the U.S. Army as a respected member of the distinguished tank crew B Co. 2/32 battalion, 3rd Armored Division. After his discharge in 1978, he began his career in telecommunications in Southern, CA, and later moved to Sonoma, CA, in 1993. Steven was a die-hard Greenbay Packer fan and enjoyed coaching his children, among other youths in the community, in football and baseball. Reading Civil War and World War II literature was one of Steve's greatest pleasures in life. A self-proclaimed "simple man," he had a passion for modesty. Among many others, his hobbies included cooking lavish meals, enjoying the outdoors and a good whiskey. A celebration of Steven's life will be held at the family home on Sunday, November 13th, 2016, from 2 to 6 p.m. For the address and any other questions, contact Allyson at 707-299-0336.
