William Hardy Obituary
June 30, 1931 - February 5, 2025
Born on June 30th 1931 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania William passed away on February 5th at his Sonoma home in the presence of his first son Wayne C. Hardy. He served honorably in the US Army after WWII ended and was stationed in Austria. After returning to the USA he worked in a steel mill and also the railroad as a assistant boiler tender. He married his second wife Carol (Houser) and they moved from Gowanda New York to Pomona California in 1961 where he worked for the state of California as a Stationary Engineer. In 1970 he and his family moved from Pomona to Glen Ellen where he worked at SDC until 1988 before retiring. He was a avid fisherman and hunter for much of his life. He lived in the Florida Keys for over 20 years before returning to Sonoma in 2013. Bill was proceeded in death by his second born son William Charles Hardy Jr. In 2016. He is survived by his first born son Wayne Charles Hardy and his second wife Carol Houser.
