Brother Art was close to me even though we lived many miles apart. I cannot remember any great disputes or disagreements even when we were growing up. He was always the older brother and I looked up to him for guidance. I will miss him!

My favorite memories of Uncle Art were of the times we went to visit him when he and Aunt Liz lived next to the river. He'd take us out for boat rides. To this day the smell of water and boat fuel reminds me of my Uncle Art, a kind and gentle man who never raised his voice or uttered a negative word.
