NILES - Adrian Matteo Chiquito, 12, of Niles passed away December 31, 2013 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Adrian was born on August 8, 2001 to his parents, Jaime Chiquito and Jalaine (Lawson) Waldrop in South Haven, Michigan. He had big dreams and always worked hard to accomplish them. He was known for his work ethic and in the summer he could be found mowing lawns to make extra money. Adrian was a 7th grade student at Brandywine Schools in Niles. He was always listening to music, especially Eminem and Green Day; he had aspirations to master the guitar and play drums. He loved skateboarding, biking, fishing and especially playing video games with his friends. Adrian loved his family, and loved to make others happy; he always had a smile on his face showcasing his gorgeous dimples. He is survived by his mother, Jalaine (Kevin) Waldrop of Niles; father, Jaime Chiquito of Gilman, Iowa; siblings, Angel Chiquito of Gilman and Alyssia Chiquito of Niles; half-siblings, Yvonne Chiquito of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Maria Diaz of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; step-siblings, Blake Waldrop of Niles and Paige Waldrop of Niles; paternal grandparents, Reymundo (Gregorian) Chiquito of Holland; maternal grandparents, Larry (Pam) Lawson of South Haven, and countless other family members and friends. A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Niles. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in South Haven with a time of visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the family in care of Brown Funeral Home to help the family cover funeral, burial and travel expenses.
