Betty Lou Hamilton
Betty Lou Hamilton Dec. 22, 1936 - Jan. 19, 2015 NOKOMIS, FL - Betty Lou Hamilton, age 78, of Nokomis, FL, died on January 19, 2015. She was born in Mishawaka, IN on December 22, 1936, and came to Nokomis in 2001. Betty was a manager for Ameritech in South Bend, IN, retiring in 1991 after 33 years. Betty was active with the Venice Nokomis United Methodist, and served as President of the UMW. She was also the past President of the Ladies of the Venice Shrine, member of the Republican Women, a volunteer for Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and a member of the Pioneers of America. She is survived by her husband, Chuck, of Nokomis; son, Charles Albert Hamilton, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Catherine Sue Caldwell of Fairfax, CA; and two grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, 10 AM at Venice Nokomis United Methodist Church. Farley Funeral Home is handling arrangements. I worked with Betty for years in the South Bend Bell Operator Services office. Betty was such a sweet lady who was always smiling. My condolences to the family.
