SOUTH BEND - Cheryl Marie Miers, 45, of South Bend passed away Wednesday morning in Memorial Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. A devoted wife and Mother. Born May 25, 1965 in South Bend to Kenneth Misenar of Albion, IN. and Barbara (Zalayi) Misenar of South Bend. On May 11, 1990 she married William J. Miers who survives to cherish her memory along with daughters Victoria and Brooke Miers of South Bend. She leaves behind her siblings Scott Misenar of South Bend and Brian Misenar (Elizabeth) of Granger; one niece, Lily Misenar of Granger; and nephew Joseph Misenar of South Bend. Cheryl graduated from Clay High school in 1983 where she excelled in Softball. She graduated from Vogue Beauty College and worked at Sears for three years, Crescent Electric, Target, Citi Group, Circle Lumber and the Carmel Corn Shop at the North Village Mall. She was an avid Vikings Fan and enjoyed the Notre Dame Football team. She had a love for the outdoors, had wonderful times camping and loved ice cream. Cheryl had an extensive collection of Disney Tinker Bell figurines which she loved. Pigs were some of her favorites also. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday October 23rd. in Christ the King Catholic Church. Friends are invited to visit with the family today from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North 17033 Cleveland Rd.
