Dale A. Gaertner March 15, 1947 - Nov. 17, 2015 NEW CARLISLE - Dale A. Gaertner, 68, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at Memorial Hospital of South Bend following a lengthy illness. He was born on March 15, 1947, to the late Hadley Eugene and Mina Virginia (King) Gaertner in Murphysboro, IL, and had lived in New Carlisle for 58 years, coming from Illinois. Dale worked as a self-employed Automobile Mechanic for several years. On April 2, 1983, he married Jennifer L. Connett in South Bend, IN. Dale is survived by his wife, Jennifer L. Gaertner of New Carlisle, IN; his sister, Patricia Snider of Rolling Prairie, IN; his brother, Don (Mary) Gaertner of New Carlisle, IN; four nieces and four nephews. Dale was a member of New Covenant Church of God in Rolling Prairie, IN. He loved collecting John Deere Tractors and Dale Ernhardt memorabilia. Visitation will be from 5 -7 p.m. (South Bend Time) Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert Street, New Carlisle, IN. There will be no services.
