WHITE PIGEON - Daniel E. Cloud, 49, of 69666 S. River Road, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, in Elkhart General Hospital due to injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born March 26, 1958, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Duane and Ann (Snyder) Cloud. Along with his father, he is survived by a daughter, Julie (Nick) Garcia of Elkhart; a son, Jacob Cloud of White Pigeon, Mich.; a brother, Greg Cloud of Elkhart; and a sister, Marcia Cloud of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by his mother. Friends are encouraged to join the family in a celebration of Dan's life at Winding Waters Brethren Church, 420 CR 4, Elkhart, on Sunday, September 9. The memorial service will begin at 4:00 p.m. followed by a time of remembrance. Dan lived, breathed and loved Harley Davidson. He had been riding motorcycles since he was a teenager, and his 1984 Shovelhead was his pride and joy. He was a loyal participant in the annual fundraising motorcycle rides, and he served as a crew member for Sweet's HDRA race team. In his early years, Dan worked for a variety of local factories, including Skyline, Holly Park and Gunite. However, for the past 10 years, he worked as a master mechanic for local Harley Davidson dealerships. Earlier this year he fulfilled his dream and began his own business, Dan's Motorcycle Service. Although working on and riding motorcycles was Dan's passion, his true love was his family. Dan was a devoted father who would do anything for his children. He spent every moment that he could enjoying time with his father, lending a helping hand and a listening ear to his son and his daughter, and granting a word of fun-loving harassment to his son-in-law.
