David Posick Obituary
July 28, 1953 - May 23, 2018
MISHAWAKA - David A. Posick, 64, of Mishawaka, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at home.
Dave was born July 28, 1953 in South Bend, the son of the late Alexander and Hazel (Bender) Posick. He grew up in South Bend and was a graduate of LaSalle High School.
Dave attended IU Bloomington and also took several technical courses over the years. He earned professional certification as a technician from the State of Indiana. He was talented in electrical repair. In recent years he was employed at Hy-Tech Automation in Mishawaka. Dave loved music and played the keyboard in several bands including “Force of Habit”.
Dave is survived by six children, Sarah (Thane) Rulli, Annie (Bryan) Goeller, Heather (Dustin) Levitz, Crystal (Rod) Lawson, Billy Fore, and Brandie Fore; a sister, Carol Middleton; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and former wives, Connie Lentsch and Pamela Speith.
Dave was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah in 2017; an infant daughter, Stephanie Posick; and a sister, Merilee Benson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 2, in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, with Pastor Neil Hampton officiating.
Dave's family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family to assist with expenses. Checks may be made to Goethals & Wells Funeral Home.

I was shocked when I heard Dave had died so suddenly. I hadn't seen him in a while since I had left Indiana for Florida but recently I had thought about the "old" days when my sisters & I used to go watch Dave and the band playing around Elkhart. He was a great guy, a nice brother-in-law and a cool friend. He dealt with a lot of suffering & hard times but he was strong and just kept going. He will be missed greatly. Thanks for all those keyboard solos Dave!!

I met David my senior year at LaSalle. He was a very nice guy with a smile and kind word always. So sorry to hear of his passing.

My condolences to the family on Dave's sudden passing. He always had a smile and said hello to me. He was a great neighbor to all of us. He will be missed!
