THREE OAKS - David Kenneth Sikorski, 31 years old, passed on Monday, June 4, 2012, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was at his home in Three Oaks with his loving family at his side, David was born February 1, 1981, in LaPorte, Indiana. David grew up in Three Oaks and was part of River Valley High School's class of 1999. As a gifted carpenter, David turned his talents into a successful career that he loved. He also worked on many projects for his family and friends, and still found time to completely renovate his own family's home. He was everyone's "right-hand man." David was a fun and loving father to his three beautiful daughters and his wife's true love. Nothing made him happier than being surrounded by his family, and nothing made his family happier than being with him. David liked being outside and having the sun on his face, especially when he was with those whom he loved. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, and taking trips to Florida to visit his sister and brother. David's big heart, unselfishness, and gentle nature will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. Survivors include his wife and soulmate, Samantha Sikorski; his sweet daughters, Lillian Rose, Katelyn Rain and Ashlyn Jade; his parents, Karen and John Marciniak of Three Oaks, and Kenneth Sikorski of South Bend; his grandparents, Lucy Lee of Three Oaks, Leslie Lee of Bridgman, and Marcy and Gene Nowicki of North Liberty; brother, Derek Sikorski and fiancée, Raychel Schedler of Jacksonville Florida; sister, Angela (Sikorski) and Chris Dunkley; nieces, Kalena, Kiana, Keara, Zion, Anya and Kyah of Oldsmar, Florida; parents-in-law, Jim Grosse and Kim Sevick-Grosse of Michigan City; brother-in-law, Jason and Virginia Lowry; sister-in-law, Jessica Lowry; aunts and uncles, Julie and Chuck Sittig, Eric and Dana Lee, Laurie and Parry Metz, Tina and Scott Neal, Lianna and Brian Hadden, Linda Sikorski, Fred Sikorski, and Carol and Joe Laureys; many loving and supportive cousins, and extended family members; and his faithful dogs, Vega & Scouty. He was preceded in death by his uncles, Kevin Lee and Jim Sikorski. Visitation will be held from 5:00- 8:00 pm on Friday, and funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 9, at Pobocik Funeral Home in Three Oaks, Michigan, with Garry Lange, celebrant.
