Uncle Dave was very special to my parents and I. I know that his presence will be greatly missed by David, Dawn and their children. There was no doubt about the love he had for all of us in his family, and I take comfort in knowing that he must be thrilled to be reunited with Grandma and Grandpa Sweet and my dad. Oh, the shenanigans they will be up to again...St. Peter will have his hands full!

I'm saddened to learn of Dave's death. My condolences to his family. I met Dave in South Bend in 1967. Later, we worked together at Lipton. I knew him well. We shared work experiences, good times, bad times, many fun times, and of course, golf. He was a good worker and a good friend. For nearly 50 years we were friends, I will greatly miss him.
Rest in peace old friend,
Dick Topping

We were privileged to meet Dave when he worked at Winding Ridge Golf Club. It was always a pleasure to chat with him and share a smile, or wave at him as we walked to the first tee. He was a kind man who loved his family and loved life. He will be greatly missed.
