Deloris R. Russwurm

SOUTH BEND - Deloris Rose Russwurm, 80, of South Bend, passed away Saturday evening, November 10, 2012, in her home. Deloris was born October 19, 1932, in Mishawaka, the daughter of the late Ralph F. and Edna (Martsolf) Ziegert. She grew up in Mishawaka and graduated from Mishawaka High School. She had lived in South Bend for many years. Deloris worked in management for many years with Fred Michael's Victory Bar. She was a member of the Auxiliaries of American Legion Post 303, 161, 257 and 284, as well as VFW Post 1167. She enjoyed gardening and baking cookies at Christmas. Deloris married Richard H. Russwurm Sr. on December 9, 1972, in South Bend. He preceded her in death in 2004. She was also preceded in death by sons, John Williams, Jerome Williams and James Williams; a daughter, Debra Barkley; and by a brother, Ralph Ziegert Jr. Deloris is survived by sons, Jeffery Williams, Joseph Williams, Richard "Rick" (Patty) Russwurm Jr., Daniel "Chip" (Debra) Russwurm and Steven Kubisiak; a daughter, Francis Jean Rowland; and a brother, Richard Ziegert; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may spend time with Deloris' family Wednesday from 5 - 7 pm in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka. Services honoring her life will begin Wednesday at 7 pm in the funeral home, with Chaplain Trevor Foley from the Center for Hospice Care officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Contributions in Deloris' memory are suggested to the Center for Hospice Care.
