Dear Jane,
My deepest sympothy during your time of loss.. I've grown to know Dennis while working for him in the Bakery .. His smile and laughter surely could light up any room ( as it had ) and his concern over our ' French Bread ' always kept us on our toes! Dennis was an inspiration for the majority of children under the S.O.A.R program of which my son Dustin is envolved in.. I am proud to call Dennis my Boss and I will NEVER forget the impact he's had on so many people including myself! A true INSPIRATION and he will NEVER be forgotten!!
My prayers are with you and your sons

We were extremely shocked to hear of your loss. Dennis was always so nice to us when we shopped at Walmart. When ever my daughter would see his picture while we were shopping she would say "look mom there's Dennis". That just goes to show you how friendly he was to all his customers. We know you'll never get over this loss but we certinately hope your sadness will be a little less everyday.

To the Family of Dennis Carlson:
Deepest sympathy for your loss. Denny and I were classmates in Paullina and I was delighted to see him at our reunion last summer and feel fortunate that I was able to talk with him at some length. Reading some of the postings on this site, it is apparent that he touched many lives and was very well thought of in your community.

Dear Carlson Family,
My husband & I were often at the Niles store and we always looked forward to seeing your husband and his smiling face. He always helped any and everybody, he never seemed to expect anyone to do anything he wouldn't do himself. The Niles Walmart & community as a whole has lost a dear friend; he will really be missed. Our prayers are with you & your loved ones during this time. God Bless you all.

Dear Mrs. Carlson:
While I didn't know your husband personally, I understand from Mary Jane Davis that he was very supportive of the work we do with youth and families through the Berrien County Family Court. His support and assistance in those efforts will pay rich dividends in the future. In that way, I am certain that he has built a legacy in our community.
You and your family will be in my prayers.

Dennis always had Kelly and I laughing. We met Dennis a few years ago while I played for Clay's softball team. We had the pleasure of his company a couple of weeks ago at a game in Mishawaka. Dennis' fun-natured spirit and sense of humor will forever be remembered.

Dear Carlson Family
I am only a customer of Wal-Mart in Niles, but I wanted you to know that I am grieved by the loss of your loved one. He was always so kind to people and always had a smile on his face. I have never met a manager who was more considerate than Dennis. He truly led by example (pushing buggies, lifting things down for customers, making people laugh). He will be geatly missed in our community. I am so sorry for your loss and pray that he is smiling at the face of Jesus right now!
Sincerely,
Michele Wilson

I did not know your husband personally but I was a frequent shopper at the Niles store and your husband was one manger that could always be seen on the store floor. Many stores you go into you do not ever see the manager of this store or have an opportunity to talk with them.
His loss is our loss at the Niles store.
My deepest sympathy to you and your entire family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.
