BREMEN - Elinor June Weldy, affectionately known as “June,” 78, of Bremen, passed away peacefully at 12:20 am Wednesday, March 16, 2016, in her home surrounded by family. June was born on Sept 17, 1937, in Madison Township, the daughter of the late Victor and DeEtta (Bean) Andrews. On March 8, 1957, in Bremen, she married Cleo Weldy. June is survived by three children, Trend (Susan) Weldy of Bremen, Lon Petty of Fishers, IN, and Kam (Denny) Haeck of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren, Jodi Strom, Jake (Risa) Petty, Josie (Glen) Klink, Ashley Matejka, Andrea (Tyler) Van Himbergen, Morgan Weldy and Paige Weldy; and four great-grandchildren, A.J., Gavin, Aizlyn, and Maddox. She is also survived by seven siblings, Lloyd “Spike” Andrews, Denne Andrews, Joyce (Don) Farrer, Sharon Wesley, Susie (Larry) Weaver, Cindy (Doug) Warren and Jenny Andrews. June was preceded in death by her parents, and four siblings, Richard “Dick” Andrews, Frank Andrews, Duke Andrews and Deloris Secor. June enjoyed playing cards and games with her grandchildren. With good weather permitting, you would find her sitting in her lawn chair in the drive-way waving and saying “Hello” to all who passed by. Visitation will be held from 10:00-1:00 pm Saturday, March 19, 2016, in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm Saturday in the funeral home, with Rev. Gary Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery.
