Ethel “Penny” Sieczko

Sept. 20, 1923 - May 3, 2016

MISHAWAKA - Ethel “Penny” Sieczko, 92, of Mishawaka, passed away at on Tuesday May 3, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Mishawaka. She was born September 20, 1923 in South Bend to Stephen and Anna Vargo.

Surviving are two children, Stephen (Kathy) Sieczko of Marietta, GA, Pam (Bob) Peacock of Elkhart; four grandchildren, Chip and Bill Sieczko both of Marietta, GA, Vanessa Stephens of Mishawaka, Travis Peacock of Edwardsburg; eight great-grandchildren, Ethan and Samantha Sieczko both of Marietta, GA, Owen and Tessa Sears, Tristen Stephens all of Mishawaka, Austin, Christian and Brennin Peacock all of Edwardsburg. She was preceded in death by three sisters.

“Penny” graduated in 1941 from Central High School in South Bend. She worked at Thrifty Mart for 32 years and was a door greeter at K-Mart for 5 years.

In keeping with her wishes cremation will take place. The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Living Center for the wonderful care they gave to “Penny” and also a special thank you to Asera Care Hospice.

Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with the arrangements.
