Georgine Meuninck Obituary

MISHAWAKA - Georgine M. Meuninck, 92, passed away on Monday, January 04, 2016 at Creekside Village in Mishawaka.
Georgine was born on July 8, 1923 in Mishawaka to Quinto and Adeline (Selis) Talacci. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Andrew Meuninck.
On August 17, 1943 in Mishawaka as the former Georgine Talacci she married Rudy Meuninck. He preceded her in death on November 1, 1995. Surviving are her daughters, Pamela “Penny” (Michael A.) Miller of New Albany, IN and Kathy Meuninck of Muskegon, MI; a son, David J. (Patti) Meuninck of Mishawaka and six grandchildren, Thaddeus (Elissa) Schmidt, Jonathan (Crystal) Miller, Chelsea (Alex) Adams, Daniel Meuninck, Mallory Meuninck and Monica Meuninck and two great grandchildren, Stephen and William Schmidt.
Georgine retired in 1974 from Wheelabrator where she worked as a Secretary. She was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church. Her warmth and tender love and humor will be missed by those who knew her.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 6 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 5 p.m., in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, January 7 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Rev Terry Fisher will officiate. Entombment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Bavo, 511 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka or Hospice Foundation Supporting Center for Hospice Care: South Bend-Elkhart-Plymouth, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.

To Kathy and all of Georgine's family. My sincere sympathy for your loss. She was a great and funny lady. Loved seeing her in her pretty hats. She was definitly a hat person. So blessed to give her Communion on Sunday. She always said the prayers with me. She will be missed
