SOUTH BEND - South Bend - Geraldine L. Cyman, 90, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Jerry was born September 7, 1926 in South Bend to the late Roman and Henrietta (Nitka) Kosiak. On June 14, 1947 Geraldine married Arthur Cyman he preceded her in death on March 7, 2000.
Survivors of Jerry include her children, Tim (Marilyn) Cyman, and Ken (Cheryl) Cyman; grandchildren, Amy Cyman (Patrick Hunter), Meredith (Brett) Jackson, Brad (Rachel) Cyman, Lori (Leroy) Dreibelbeis, Lisa (Jason) Dale, Karen (Shane) Miller; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Kodi, Jacob, Lucas, Kaley, Megan, Ty, Sophie, Phoebe, Jax, Jett, Bryce; sisters, Jane Dobrucki, and Dorothy Lindorf.
Jerry was a member the Sisters Auxiliary of St. Adalbert's. Her main accomplishment in life was to be an inspiring mother, grandmother, and great-mother who loved whole-heartedly. She was very spunky, enjoyed playing bingo, and loved to go shopping. She was a regular at Top Notch Restaurant. Her passion through life was to write a children's book, which she published three months ago, the name of book is “SAMMY THE BABY ELEPHANT” which was dedicated to her grandchildren. Jerry always enjoyed going to parties and very seldom missed one. She loved her cat Annie.
Visitation for Jerry will be 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Sunday, March 5, 2017 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary to be prayed at 5:00 pm . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Monday, March 6, 2017 in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 620 W Edison Rd #122, Mishawaka, IN 46545 or Donor's Choice.

I was very blessed to know Jerry. We came together to help bring her children's book, Sammy The Baby Elephant, to life. She will be greatly missed, and wish her family much love and prayers at this hard time.
