SOUTH BEND - Gregory Scott McCall, 40, residing in South Bend, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011, in his home. He was born June 25, 1971, in Memorial Hospital of South Bend, a son of Forest and Mary Ann (Mathes) McCall, and had remained a lifelong resident of this community. He was preceded in death by his father Forest on July 28, 2008, and a sister, Rhonda Lynn McCall in 1967. Greg was active with Logan Center where he had many friends. He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Mathes of South Bend; his sister, Gina M. McCall of Mishawaka; his brother, Alan (Meshelle) McCall of Orlando, FL. Also surviving are two nephews, Shawn and Brandon McCall; a niece, Jessica McCall; and two great-nephews, Braydon Alan McCall and Braxton Anthony McCall. Two step-nephews, Brandon and Michael Sandefur, and a step-niece, Andrea Sandefur, survive Greg as well. Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2011, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend. Rev. Greg D. Crump will officiate. Burial will take place at Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home.
