ELKHART - Jason Douglas, 35, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 13, 2017. He was born in South Bend to Michael and Patricia Douglas, who survive. He is also survived by his brothers, Stephen (Swati) Douglas of Granger, Bradley J.. Douglas of Mishawaka and Michael Douglas, Jr. of Elkhart; by his maternal grandparents, Glenn and Betty Terry of South Bend; and a niece and nephew. Jason worked as a steel fabricator for Superior Equipment in Elkhart. He was an avid Notre Dame football and Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. He enjoyed golfing, walking his dog, his classic Chevy Impala, and especially spending time with his niece and nephew. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend. Sorry to hear of Jason's passing, sincere condolences to his family. The unexpected loss of a loved one is especially difficult, but Jeremiah 29:11 assures us God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope. In the days to come may you find comfort in that hope.
