MISHAWAKA, IN - Jennifer L. Navarre, 61, of Mishawaka, IN passed away in her residence on Tuesday, October 9 after an extended illness.
Jennifer was born on August 6, 1957, in South Bend, IN to the late Ellis R. and Eunice P. (Hertel) Barrier. She is survived by her sister, Susan L. (Michael) Battles of South Bend. Also surviving is her nephew, Tyler J. Beck of South Bend; and her Aunt Rose Holston of South Bend, and Sally Horstmann of Edwardsburg, MI. Jennifer was preceded in death by her brother, Richard L. Barrier.
Jennifer was a retired school bus driver for South Bend Community School Corporation, for which she drove for 32 years. She will be dearly missed by her loving family, co-workers, and her numerous friends she made during her life journey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Humane Society, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545, in Jennifer's name.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 20 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel” located at 23421 State Road 23, South Bend, IN, with a Celebration of Jennifer's Life immediately following at 1:00 P.M.
Jennifer's wishes were to be cremated, which her loving family honored.
The HANLEY and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services handled arrangements and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to Jennifer's family.
