Joyce Olivier Obituary
SOUTH BEND - Joyce Olivier, 74, residing in South Bend, IN passed away at 12:51 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in Unity Medical and Surgical Hospital in Mishawaka. She was born on October 25, 1935 in Gary, IN to Morris R. and Jessie (Beck) Stoner. She had lived in South Bend since 1952, coming from Niles, MI. On October 25, 1963 in South Bend, IN she married Harold R. Olivier and they enjoyed 46 years of marriage. Along with her husband, Harold she is also survived by three children, Caron (Russell) Gleva of Mishawaka; Daryl Johnson of San Diego, CA and Harold W. Johnson, Jr.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her sister, Gloria (Jack) Foos of Mishawaka; and her niece, Donna (Tom) Ivey. Joyce was employed with Wells Electronics Plastic Factory for thirteen years and served as a bartender for twenty-five years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking. Joyce and Harold spent time camping at Campers Roost in Plymouth and Mini Mountain. They also enjoyed attending the time trials in Indianapolis. Joyce previously attended West Side Church of Christ. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010 in Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend. Rev. Ed Erskin, pastor of Northway Church of Christ will officiate. Contributions in memory of Joyce may be offered to the charity of your choice. For many years when Joyce's husband Harold worked on my car my 3 kids were small then and Joyce was always glad to see them. Joyce was a kind hearted person that you couldn't help but to love. We'd like to say May God bless the Oliver family and that Joyce now has peace.

Our sincere sympathy is extended to you, Harold, and your family in the loss of your beloved Joyce.
Joyce was always helpful locating you when you were 'lost and at work' in the shop. Often, the banter between you and Joyce was the most entertaining part of our visits.
May she rest peacefully.
