SOUTH BEND, IN -
Juan, 80, passed away surrounded by love. He was born in Brownsville, TX to the late Enrique and Beatrice (Salas) Hernandez. On November 5, 1958, Juan and Maria Moreno began their 62-year union of life. He joins his heavenly family: son Isidro Hernandez, parents, and eight siblings. Juan is survived by his loving wife Maria, and their children Juan (Vicky), Rolando (Deborah), Hector (girlfriend Christi), Leticia (Johnny) Lopez, and Alfredo, all of South Bend. Generations of love include many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his brother, Robert (Sally) Hernandez.
Juan was a life-long fan of the Chicago White Sox, Notre Dame football, and the Kansas City Chiefs. He collected model cars, restored statues, enjoyed going to the casino, and watching Western movies. Juan loved his family and spending time with them. Juan maintained many friendships from his time at Steel Warehouse (Chief Juan) and Mohawk Flush Doors, from which he eventually retired. He was a proud patron and usher of St. Adalbert Parish.
Visitation will be 10:00-1:30, Friday, January 29, 2021 at St. Joseph Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Adalbert Parish beginning at 2PM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 203 W. Catalpa Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545.

We share in your love and send our deepest compassions to the Hernandez family. My children and I forever hold a special place in our hearts for Isidro, Juan and Maria and the entire Hernandez family that made welcome to us . Tho time passes us all thru the earthly Abode, we recall the rainbow bridge we cross when we leave knowing that our true Heavenly Home has many mansions and Isidro and Juan are celebrating with our Father in Heaven. Our hearts are open with yours and we send our prayers up with extra love to Grandma Maria thru this time, ❤ Bonnie, Kristin, DJ and Haley

I worked with Don Juan for 12 years at Mohawk Doors..learned a lot from him. He will be missed and my condolences to the family. He was a good man.
