Kevin Frick Obituary

Kevin Glenn Frick

Feb. 6, 1959 - Dec. 11, 2017

BREMEN - Kevin Glenn Frick, 58, of Bremen, IN was surrounded by a room full of love when he passed on Dec 11, 2017 at IU Methodist in Indianapolis. He was a proud, devoted father to Larry Frick (Angel Freed) and Pierce Frick. He is also survived by his siblings Calvin (Deb Nowak), Colleen Tomes, Colette Proctor (Sunset), and Kirk Frick (Susie) as well as his former spouse, Brenda Yeo. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and H Joyce Frick and brothers-in-law Michael Tomes and Robert Yeo. Kevin was born February 6, 1959 in South Bend, IN and graduated from LaSalle High School. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Bremen, IN. Kevin was kind to all and went above and beyond to make others feel valued and comfortable. He volunteered his time and energy to classrooms, church needs, and those who needed a hand to hold. Kevin was known for his sense of humor. He loved playing, watching, and listening to sports, especially baseball and the White Sox, and enjoyed serving as scorekeeper (and fan) at local games. He loved seeing, hearing, or reading about people being kind to one another. It is difficult for anyone who knew Kevin to picture a closer image of Christ. Kevin modeled that the greatest of these is love and those fortunate to know him know the greatest amongst us was Kevin. A memorial service will be held at Church of the Brethren in Bremen, IN on Saturday, December 16th from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, where his friends and family will be sharing pictures and memories.

To all the family of Kevin. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. The world is a lesser place without him, but heaven is richer for having him. He taught the world that kindness and compassion were the way to anyone's heart. I am proud to have known him, and saddened to know he is gone. He was a good and kind man.

Very sorry to read of Kevin's passing! Thoughts and prayers to Kevin's family and friends. I knew of Kevin but never met him in person until three years ago. We share the same first and last name. He would mistakenly receive my mail and I his. This one mistake brought us face to face when friends of mine invited him to their wedding and reception. He politely declined but my friends insisted he be present. Kevin and I finally met in person. Although, this was a short meeting I felt the kindness that radiated from his soul. Rest in peace Kevin.

Kevin will be missed dearly! He definitely has a big caring heart. He coached for LaVille Youth Soccer anytime we ever needed help. I was honored to get to co-coach with him. He is absolutely gifted at working with children. He enjoyed learning about the kid's. I will miss him!
For his kids, he always talked about you! I got to know you just by him talking about what was going on in your lives.
With much love,

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Kevin's family, sorry for your loss. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us that God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, may that bring you comfort in this time of sorrow.

Kevin helped coach my son Cameron's very first soccer team. He was always so proud of his boys, Larry and Pierce. It was easy to see that they brought so much joy to his life. He was a kind hearted person and always spoke so positively about others.

He greeted everyone with a big hello and how are you? He genuinely wanted to know how others were doing. He was a great example of how we should treat others.

Planet earth needs more Kevins. :)
